FAQ

  • Why can't I just book travel myself?
Yes, you can! However, you’ll miss out on expert recommendations and a peace of mind. Your Agent will be doing the work for you resulting in less stress. Agents are very active and knowledgeable in the industry. Plus! When booking through a travel agent you will likely to be treated with more personalized service upon arrival, as your agent likely has a great working relationship with the partners he or she connects you to.
  • Does it cost more to work with a travel agent?
It depends on how you see the cost of a trip. Some travel agents charge a fee for the time they spend putting together the perfect itinerary for their clients, while others work solely on the commission they receive from hotels, cruises, and excursions that they book for you. Usually, this is at no extra cost. A travel agent is like a tour guide with all the best-kept secrets, leading you to your perfect trip while taking care of the details for you, saving you tons of time along the way. While you may pay more for a trip that’s put together by a travel agent, what you’re really doing is investing your money carefully by ensuring that the trip you take will be well planned, enjoyable, and productive. As your travel agent gets to know you, your trips will be tailored to your personal needs and interests. No automated booking site can offer you that!
  • How do travel agents offer me extra protection and security?
When you book through a travel agent, you’re working with someone who will be an advocate for you and help you read the fine print. They can help explain booking policies, and much more. In the event something goes wrong your travel agent will be an invaluable source.
  • What can a travel agent do for me that I cannot do for myself?
Unless you enjoy the stress and hassle of coordinating extended trips down to the smallest details, you’re going to want to leave your travel planning up to a professional! Travel agents have years of experience, squaring away things you would never think to consider. Like what local items your wedding guests may need for traveling to their destination. How will all the family members on your cruise ship be able to communicate with each other once the ship leaves the port? These are the kinds of things we’ll take care of for you. Travel agents also have access to special discounts, industry rates, hidden gems, and VIP access that you wouldn’t be able to score on your own.
  • What areas of travel do you specialize in?
Though I can handle virtually any type of trip you’re looking to take, my specialties include group travel, honeymoons, corporate retreats, and special events. Getting a large group coordinated to travel elsewhere can be an overwhelming task. If you’re looking to plan a destination wedding, a family reunion, or a company trip, we can help plan both domestic and overseas travel, taking the painstaking details off your plate so that you can focus on other things.
  • Can you coordinate groups of friends, family members or co-workers?"
Of course! Planning group trips is one of my specialties. Getting everyone together, on the same page, and having a good time is a daunting task, but that’s what I’m here for. You just let me know the specifics of your trip’s purpose, goal, and the list of invitees, and I’ll handle the rest.
  • What's the best way to kick off organizing a group trip?
Contact a travel agent! When you enlist a travel agent to help you plan a group trip, we’ll start off by talking about the dynamics of your group, your goals for the trip, and the budget you have in mind. Then we’ll work together to plan a trip that everyone in your group is sure to fondly remember.
  • Is there a minimum spend to use a travel agent?
No. We can cater to any maximum or minimum spending needs you may have. Simply let me know your budget and we can go from there.
